Flying an International Program
By Brenda Vishanoff, Director of International Students
Wheaton Academy, West Chicago, IL
This pre-symposium session will be a comprehensive look at what it takes to run an excellent international student program. Using the analogy of flying an airplane, participants will consider what should be done before the school year “takes off,” what is best to adjust while “in the air”, and what to do to “safely land” at the end of the year. A program head, teacher, host parent, sending country parent and student view will be included as we “soar” through material, ideas, and next steps.
