The 2017 HomeStay Symposium is being held October 16-18, 2017 (Monday through Wednesday). 

The 2017 HomeStay Symposium will once again be held on the campus of Wheaton College in Wheaton, IL (greater Chicagoland area).

The Symposium is for any person involved with a Christian school international student HomeStay Boarding Program, including (but not limited to):

  • International Program Directors
  • International Program Coordinators
  • Directors of Admissions
  • College Guidance Counselors
  • Host Parents
  • School Board Members
  • Principals
  • Heads of Schools
  • Superintendents
  • ESL Teachers
  • Teachers of all subjects

Participants should plan to arrange their own transportation from the airport to their hotel or Wheaton College. Here are our transportation recommendations.

During the Symposium
Complimentary shuttles between Wheaton College and the Holiday Inn-Carol Stream will be provided in the morning and afternoon of each day, with advance reservation only.

  • Monday evening: at conclusion of evening session (Wheaton College to Holiday Inn Carol Stream)
  • Tuesday morning: 7:00 AM to Wheaton College
  • Tuesday evening: 6:00 PM to Holiday-Inn Carol Stream
  • Tuesday night: 10:00 PM from College Ave Train Station to Holiday Inn Carol Stream
  • Wednesday morning: 7:00 AM to Wheaton College

Airport Departure on Wednesday

A shuttle requiring advance reservation and payment is available to both Midway (MDW) and O’Hare (ORD) airports, departing on Wednesday, October 18 at 1:00 PM from Wheaton College. Advance purchase online is required for this shuttle. Reserve your seats here
